This dish (sometimes written as “osso bucco”) is a traditional Italian dish.

"Osso buco" is Italian for "bone with a hole" which is the core of this dish. It's traditionally made with slices of shank cut right through the bone, so the marrow ends up flavoring the braising liquid as well. We’re mixing it with veggies and serving it over mashed potatoes.
